HELLO FALL!

Thirsty for the Word: John 15: 4-5

How do we abide in Christ?

1. Daily Devotion - Reading and studying the Bible using a Bible Concordance (a resource that defines Greek and Hebrew words) - Understanding the culture and setting the Bible was written in

2. Daily Prayer - Prayer is communication with God - Prayer is time that God can speak to use

3. Do God's Word - Be a doer and not just hearer of the Bible - Apply what you have learned in your daily devotionals to your life

4. Surround yourself with other believers - Having people around you that believe in what you believe and help you along your journey is crucial and important for your growth and belonging

5. Go to therapy - There are traumas in your life that you can't deal with on your own. God wants you to be fully healed. That is why there are Christian psychologist and psychiatrist out there that will not only give you clinical/practical advise but also pray for you. - Just try it and see how it works. If you don't like it, you don't like it. But, make sure you pick a therapist that fit your needs, goals and comfort. Talking about the depths and inner parts of yourself is vulnerable and you want to be around someone you can trust.

God wants us to be connected and build a relationship with him. He will give us the tools we need to improve, heal, grow rather they come from a person or an object.
